Forest Pack 9.1: Introducing ForestIvy for Realistic Vegetation

iToo Software has released Forest Pack 9.1 for 3ds Max. Forest Pack is a powerful tool for parametric distribution of objects across scene surfaces, widely used for creating vegetation, rocks, buildings, and other elements. Version 9.1 introduces the ForestIvy plugin, enabling the creation of 3D models of ivy and other climbing plants. Users can define the shape of the ivy by combining manual and procedural methods, drawing directly on surfaces or generating automatically. New features include generating ivy along contours without the need for a supporting 3D surface, the ability to save contours as standard 3ds Max splines, and options like “Surface Offset” and “Ground Checking” for more accurate plant placement. ForestIvy is compatible with renderers Chaos Vantage and V-Ray 7. Forest Pack 9.1 supports 3ds Max 2019 and above on Windows 10 and newer. A new perpetual license costs $275, and a free lite version with limited features suitable for commercial use is also available.
